Record of Ragnarok is an anime series that is based on a Japanese manga series of the same name. The anime adaptation is produced by Graphinica and directed by Masao Okubo. All 12 episodes of The Record of Ragnarok 1 premiered on Netflix on June 17, 2021. Netflix released 10 episodes of Record of Ragnarok 2 Part 1, with two clashes that saw Jack the Ripper and Raiden Tameemon take the field for humans, while the deities keen to fight out in the arena were Hercules and Shiva.
Fortunately, it’s not over though. Fans are waiting for 5 more episodes from Netflix to close out Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Part 2. But when will they arrive?
Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Part 2 release date on Netflix
It has not even been a month since the Record of Ragnarok 2 Part 1 release happened on Netflix on January 26, 2023. Now, we have news of the pending 5 episodes from Part 2.
The official website has confirmed that the Record of Ragnarok 2 Part 2 will end in 2023 with the remaining 5 episodes dropping anytime on Netflix. A more precise release window has not been announced.
With the announcement came the revelation of a key visual of one of the protagonists Zerofuku.
However, it is speculated that the next set of 5 episodes of Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Part 2 probably won’t arrive before the Fall 2023.
About Record of Ragnarok
The story of Record of Ragnarok revolves around a council of gods who decide to end humanity due to its many faults. However, Valkyrie, one of the gods, proposes a final chance for humanity. She suggests a one-on-one battle between the gods and the most powerful humans in history. If humanity can win seven battles, they will be spared from destruction.
Thus, the series follows the story of 13 humans who are selected to represent humanity in the battles against the gods. Each episode of the series features a battle between one of the humans and one of the gods. The series showcases a variety of different fighting styles and abilities, as well as explores the motivations and backstories of both the humans and the gods.

Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Part 2 Spoilers

The plot for the remaining 5 episodes will follow the same format as the Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Part 1, with each episode featuring a battle between one of the humans and one of the gods. Fans will be treated to more epic battles, character development, and exploration of the mythology and themes of the series.
At the end of the Record of Ragnarok Season 2 Episode 12, the battle between the Gods and humans leaves Gods scoring ahead of humans at 2 is to 1 on the Ragnarok board.
This will be the event that will decide the fate of the whole world. Thor, the King of lightning, and Zeus, the father of the gods conquered the leader Lu Bu and the first man, Adam.
On the other hand, against all odds the swordsman Kojiro Sasaki managed to overthrow Poseidon, thus rekindling hopes of salvation for mortal beings.
Record of Ragnarok 2 adapts the 3 successive battles featured in the manga, and the ten episodes streaming. These include the battles between the mighty Hercules against Jack the Ripper, already foreseen at the end of Season 1.
The Round 5 of the battle took place between the Indian god Shiva pitted against Raiden Tameemon, the strongest sumo wrestler of all time. It was won by God Shiva giving Gods a lead of 3-2 against humans.
In addition to the new fighters, there are well-known faces including the Valkyrie couple of Goll and Brunhilde, defenders of humanity.
Based on the manga, there are 3 more rounds of violent battles between gods and humans. Round 6 will be between Buddha against Zerofoku, one of the Seven Lucky Gods.
Round 7 will be fought between Qin Shi Huang, the founder of the Chinese Qin Dynasty facing Hades, the Greek God of the underworld as his rival. He is the brother of the defeated god Poseidon.
Round 8 will feature the Serbian-American scientist Nikola Tesla pitted against Beelzabub, the philistine deity of Judaism and Christianity.
Is Record of Ragnarok Anime on Netflix?
The Record of Ragnarok anime episode 1 can be streamed directly from Netflix. This means that Netflix has its original anime web series, and it is slated to release the same.
Most likely, the Record of Ragnarok anime dub version will be found on other alternative streaming platforms. They include popular anime streaming platforms such as Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Amazon Prime. But only after the launch of the series on the main platform.

Record of Ragnarok 2 Part 2 Trailer
As of now an official trailer of Part 1 is released by the franchise. The trailer of the pending 5 episodes will be revealed a few weeks before the release, probably with the announcement of the release date.
Once all five episodes of Record of Ragnarok 2 Part 2 drop in, the anime series is expected to be renewed for Season 3. It will be a wait for a couple of years which will narrate the challenges of other fighters that are covered right now in the original manga.
