For people who are wondering about Bleach Season 17, the conclusive arc, here are some glimpses. Bleach is a Japanese manga. It is taken from the comic novel of Tite Kubo, a TV series that was made in the same name. The novel almost had about 74 volumes, spanning 650 chapters. The story is set in a town called Karakura Town with the protagonist being a 15-year-old high school student, Kurosaki Ichigo.
The Bleach anime series got its first air date on Oct. 5, 2004, and continued its run till 2012. It is spread across 16 seasons with 366 episodes. Bleach Season 16’s Episode 366 aired on March 27, 2012. After a tumultuous wait of 8 long years, the makers of “Bleach” announced a conclusive arc according to Weekly Shonen Jump. Titled Bleach Season 17 will adapt the “Thousand-Year Blood War Arc,” from the manga series.
Bleach is making a comeback after 8 long years and will begin from the 367th installment. It is advised by Shonen Jump to begin with “Thousand-Year Blood Arc” Chapter 480 before the Bleach Season 17 Episode 1 lands.
Bleach Season 17 Release Date
The Bleach Season 17 release date has not officially been confirmed yet. Bleach makers have announced the year of the premier. Shonen Jump has tweeted right about it. The legendary anime aired its last episode on March 12th. It was leaving fans across the world with their jaws dropped to the floor.
Finally, after a wait of 8 long years, it is going to make a comeback. The popular Bleach anime will adapt the “Thousand-Year Blood War Arc,” from the manga series. The final season of the final arc of the manga will cover volumes 55-74. The makers have also confirmed that the final arc’s anime adaptation will be uncensored for its die-hard fans.
It was speculated that Bleach Anime 2021 release date might coincide with the “BLEACH Art Exhibition” officially scheduled for Winter 2021 in Hikarie Hall. The wait has been long, with almost no information revealed from March 2020 to December 2021.

The finale season of Bleach promises a slew of surprises, starting with the active participation of Tite Kubo. a few days ago, in a message, Tite Kubo announced his decision on the opening and ending theme songs for Bleach.
Tite Kubo, Today: “I have decided on the opening and ending songs for the Anime!” “I’ve decided on the opening and ending songs for the anime !! Great!”
For now, he has not divulged the names of the singers for the opening (OP) theme song music and ending (ED) theme songs. We have to wait for the official announcements over the next few months.
Bleach Final Arc Thousand Year Blood War Trailer
The stage of big revelation on Bleach Final arc was set in Jump Festa 2022. It did not disappoint the fans. A trailer, as well as PV, was released for the return of the Bleach anime with the adaptation of the final narrative arc of The War of the Thousand Years. The anime has been inspired by the original work written and animated by Tite Kubo, scheduled for airing confirmed in October 2022.
How many episodes will Bleach Thousand-Year Blood War Arc have?
“Thousand-Year Blood War Arc” is covered in 218 chapters and it will take at least 50 episodes to adapt the complete pending manga into anime. The makers have the option to break the anime into multiple cours or the possibility of many more seasons like Bleach Season 18 cannot be ruled out. Even the possibility of adapting the manga into a fully animated feature film exists. Any anime season is planned to spread across 10 – 13 episodes/cour.
The studio name has not been announced yet by the makers. However, Studio Pierrot of Naruto franchise fame had earlier handled the animation. It is speculated that Studio Pierrot should be the obvious choice, however, no one has officially confirmed.
Bleach Season 17 Plot Details
Bleach Season 16 anime saw Ichigo Kurosaki being left powerless. Rukia Kuchiki was seen assisting him in his struggle to regain them. He salvaged himself with great difficulty against Kugo Ginjo with the help of the members of the Soul Society.
Bleach Season 17 will continue from where Ichigo left his fans around 9 years ago. He will be seen disappearing somewhere and anarchy prevailing thereafter. The Wanderich’s secret group will find it right to strike the Soul Society with an open war between the Shinigami and the Quincy. Behind the scenes, Ichigo will be seen undergoing strenuous training to fight back and free the Soul Society from Wanderich’s clutches.
Will there be Bleach Season 17 English Dub on Netflix?
Well, this is one of the major concerns for most of the fans. Will the Bleach season 17 have subs or dubs? As of now, there is official information on only 3 things. The production is underway, it is dated to release in 2021. The other is few of the original Japanese cast members are going to make come back.
Currently, the Bleach Season 16 English dub is streaming on Netflix and Hulu.
Ichigo Kurosaki gets ready to return in the anime and in the sequel to the manga
In a chapter published for the 20th anniversary, there has been an interesting evolution when it comes to the protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki. Tite Kubo has portrayed him in a new illustration. The drawing is not only a way to celebrate Bleach’s return but also to shows support for Ukraine Russia’s war.
We have to wait for some more time to see whether Pierrot animation studio does justice by adapting the final saga of the original work.
