Another isekai title has confirmed a 2022 adaptation! Isekai Yakkyoku will be getting an anime adaptation by Diomedia Inc, the studio that has also worked on Futsal Boys!!!!!, Squid Girl, Beatless and more! The light novel series by Liz Takayama was serialized in Shosetsuka ni Naro in January 2016 and was later taken by Media Factory.
A manga adaptation with Sei Takano’s art began serialization in 2016 as well. The light novel series has seven published volumes. The light novel and manga together have over 2 million copies. The light novel series has a rating of 7.5/10 My Anime List!

The official website of Liz Takayama’s Isekai Yakkyoku (Alternate World Pharmacy) anime has released the first promotional video on the 11th of March. One can make out anime’s lead voice cast and 2022 premiere date from the anime trailer.
What is Isekai Yakkyoku About?
As the name suggests, the isekai adventure sets off when a pharmacist in Japan passes away due to overwork. He is reborn in a medieval world that resembles Europe as Pharma, a 10-year-old boy who happens to be the apprentice of the Royal Court pharmacist. Working there, he attains impressive knowledge of disease and alchemic theory.
Medical practices in the kingdom are often very questionable and use underhanded methods. The medical pharmacist guild has developed a monopoly over the medicines and their availability, making them inaccessible to the common people. The young pharmacist gains the King’s recognition and opens a small pharmacy in one corner of the town. He disapproves of the dealings of medicines that leave the people without any aid.
He puts his knowledge of medicine and his superhuman abilities to use to begin freeing the kingdom from the grip of the conniving guilds. He retains memories from his previous life and uses that medical knowledge to treat people in this parallel universe while building a new life for himself.
The anime has only dropped the first preview and celebratory artwork from the author marking the announcement of the anime adaptation of Isekai Yakkyoku. The opening and the ending theme for the anime are yet to be announced!
When Will Isekai Yakkyoku Release?
Isekai Yakkyoku has been greenlit for a 2022 release. With the first preview dropping in March 2022, the anime could be making its way towards a Summer 2022 release. The Summer 2022 calendar seems like the most likely slot for release. If the release misses that then the next opportunity is Fall 2022.
Isekai Yakkyoku is most likely to have a single cour release this year with 12-14 episodes spanning across one anime calendar season.
Where Can You Watch Isekai Yakkyoku?
The premiere scheduled for the anime adaptation of Isekai Yakkyoku is yet to be released but TV Tokyo and other TV Networks are expected to air the anime. Crunchyroll and other streaming platforms are likely to stream it once more details are revealed.
The English Dub of the anime may also be released by Crunchyroll once the Japanese audio anime gets its premiere.

The anime has only revealed the voice actor of the lead character along with rough character designs that were a part of the celebration poster release by illustrator keep out and manga artist Sei Takano. The other members of the main cast along with the additional characters in the anime will be revealed gradually.
Aki Toyosaki will be voicing Pharma de Medicis. Keizou Kusakawa is directing the anime at Diomedea, Wataru Watari is the script supervisor for the series and Mayuko Matsumoto is the character designer. Other members of the team will be announced in the upcoming months!
