The dark shonen genre has always excited people. Adding to the catalogue is Daiki Kobayashi’s dark fantasy manga Ragna Crimson which is getting ready for an anime adaptation. The news is not official yet, but as leaked by several reputable sources, including Twitter insider @MangaMoguraRE, Ragna Crimson is set to get an animated adaptation. Earlier on 20th February, a trusted Weibo user had leaked about a possible announcement of Ragna Crimson anime coming up.
If the animation turns out to be good, it will be the next hit anime undoubtedly.
Ragna Crimson Release Date
After almost 6 months since the news leaked, Daiki Kobayashi’s dark fantasy manga has finally got announced and will hit the small screen in 2023. It will be the year in which the Black Clover movie and Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will also debut.
Ragna Crimson anime adaptation release timeline has been confirmed for 2023 and Sentai Filmworks will license the anime.
Apart from formally announcing the Ragna Crimson anime release date, a key visual was also shared. the adaptation studio has been confirmed to be Silver Link of The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious, Kokoro Connect, Chaos; Child fame.
No other information on the cast, characters, trailer, or platform is divulged at this point in time on the Ragna Crimson official website. However, stay tuned to this space!

Ragna Crimson manga is from the genre of dark fantasy, thrill, realism, and action. It is written and illustrated by Daiki Kobayashi. It is in publication since 2017 with the publishers Square Enix and getting a serialization in the Monthly Gangan Joker Magazine. Square Enix also started with the English publication of manga in February 2021. To date, 9 tankonbon volumes of the manga have been published under the GC Joker imprint. The manga is almost concluding and reaching its finale soon.Â
With his work, Daiki Kobayashi has been able to rekindle the dark flame of fantasy. He has made us enter a world where dragons dominate the sky, land, and sea. A place where humanity constantly lives under the threat of annihilation by immensely powerful dragons.
It is here that the dragon hunter Ragna embarks on a revenge-fueled quest to eliminate that threat once and for all. Ragna is dedicated to their hunt together with Leonika. To deal with these winged creatures, however, monstrous strength is required, something the protagonist obtains at a critical moment from his future self.
