Shuumatsu no Valkyrie: Record of Ragnarok Episode 1 is ready to hit the screens on 17th June. It is the latest and most promising anime series coming to Netflix. The Japanese anime series is adapted on the manga by the same name Shuumatsu no Valkyrie, written by a team of Fukui Takumi, Umemurau Shinya, and Aji Chika.
Majorly the characters have been taken from real-world experiences. It is the story of God vs Human where one can relate to some names like Shiva, Zeus, Thor, Poseidon among others. The human characters in the plot take on names of Nikola Tesla, Buddha, Grigori Rasputin. The highly anticipated anime series will revolve around the world of Gods. They have convened a meeting to decide on the very existence of mankind. This meeting usually takes place after every 1000 years with the agenda of the human race.
The anime can be very correlated in current scenario with Gods under the leadership of Zeus deciding unanimously to bring an end to man’s world. They are united in the opinion that there is too much of abuse towards the Earth planet and each other as a whole.
Here’s the synopsis (via Netflix):
“‘Record of Ragnarok’ is the story of 13 gods from across the globe and 13 of the world’s most notable humans fighting it out in one-on-one battles to decide the fate of humanity. Based on the manga created by Azychika, Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui, an earnest battle of transcendental rage begins!
In the meantime enjoy the latest Record of Ragnarok trailer that gives one Studiopolis vibes. It captures the essence of anime series and that is the battle between God and humans. In this new trailer, the preview of the closing song by SymaG “Fukashi” can also be heard. One can recognize many voices in the English dub trailer such as Laura Post, Patrick Seitz, Matthew Mercer, Jalen Cassell along with Todd Haberkorn, Kaiji Tang, and presumably Keone Young (unless that’s someone else voicing the Samurai who says “The nature of my Ganryu has never stopped evolving“). English dubbing studio hired for the job is Studiopolis.
To celebrate the launch of the series, a special streaming program is organized on Warner Bros. Japan Anime YouTube channel. The live show will be subbed in English and Spanish. It will be hosted on June 19th at 8:00 PM PDT / 11:00 PM EDT (June 20th at 12:00 PM JST) Watch it on Warner Japan Anime YouTube channel!
