Illustrated and written by Kentaro Yabuki, Ayakashi Triangle, also known as AyaTri, is a Japanese fantasy, romantic comedy manga series. “Ayakashi romance fantasy” was serialized in publisher Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine from June 2020 to April 2022 and has been transferred to the Shōnen Jump+ website since April 2022, with individual chapters collected and published by Shueisha into nine tankōbon volumes.

There are presently nine volumes of the Ayakashi Triangle manga with the last one released on June 3 2022 featuring 9 episodes.
Viz Media has licensed the manga for English distribution in North America, and Shueisha is simultaneously publishing the series in English and Spanish for free on the Manga Plus app and website.
One can download the first 88 chapters only on Viz Media’s digital Shonen Jump library, the actual website version. But do keep in mind that the first few chapters are not available for online read for unknown reasons.

The anime was confirmed to be in the works late last year. Fortunately, we have the latest update. Ayakashi Triangle anime has an official release date. There is another rumor though a reliable one accompanied by a promotional trailer, which reveals the exact day of Ayakashi Triangle Episode 1 release to be January 9, 2023.
What is Ayakashi Triangle Plot?
Matsuri Kazamaki and Suzu Kanade are childhood friends who can see Ayakashi —youkai on the hunt for a life force to consume. However, their bond deteriorates in high school. Suzu’s one-sided sentiments deepen, as does the gap in their Ayakashi perspectives: Matsuri sees all Ayakashi as a threat to his friend, whereas Suzu is an Ayakashi medium—someone who exudes a substantial quantity of life energy compared to the normal human—and loves them all despite the risk.
When the two stumble upon a talking white cat named Shirogane, they are unaware that it is a four-hundred-year-old Ayakashi known as the “King of Ayakashi.” He is hell-bent on gaining even more power by devouring Suzu, but as Matsuri swoops in to try and save her by sealing Shirogane’s powers, the Ayakashi uses a Jutsu to turn him into a girl instead.
Matsuri swears to protect Suzu as her best friend, but he must first learn how to act like a girl until his grandfather, a famed wind Jutsu exorcist ninja, can reverse the Jutsu. Meanwhile, now that Matsuri is no longer a boy, Suzu must sort out her romantic feelings for him. However, when Matsuri adopts the king as his pet, the future of the two buddies appears to be in jeopardy.
Who is the Ayakashi Triangle cast?
There has been no official disclosure on the Ayakashi Triangle cast and characters, production staff, and studio. However, the clip by @shonenleaks hints at Studio Connect and the protagonists of the story.
In the meantime, let’s visit the roles in the manga that will get adapted into the Ayakashi Triangle anime.
- Matsuri Kazamaki: Matsuri is a young exorcist ninja from the Kazamaki clan who specializes in Wind Jutsu and is preparing to take over his grandfather’s business. When the King of Ayakashi seals away most of Shirogane’s strength, he converts Matsuri into a silver-haired girl.
- Suzu Kanade: Suzu is an Ayakashi Medium who seems to have romantic feelings towards her childhood friend Matsuri, even after he is turned into a girl.
- Shirogane: Shirogane is the King of Ayakashi. Although his actual form is that of a massive cat. When he suppresses his strength, he looks like an overweight cat wearing a bib; a form he becomes imprisoned in once Matsuri seals most of his powers into a scroll. Shirogane wishes to eat Suzu in order to gain more power, and he appears to be jealous of her affection for Matsuri.
- Sousuke Hinojiki: Sousuke Hinojiki is a jinyo (humanoid ayakashi) born from an ikon.
- Soga Ninokuru: Soga Ninokuru is a Ninokuru clan exorcist who considers Matsuri Kazamaki to be his rival.
- Muga Ninokuru: Muga Ninokuru is Soga’s father who currently leads the Ninokuru exorcist ninja clan.
- Ponosuke Ninokuru: Ponosuke is a humanoid pigeon Ayakashi that works directly under Soga, to whom he is extremely loyal because Soga once saved him from being consumed by a cat.
