Will there be a Chainsaw Man anime?
Chainsaw Man seems like a bit of an obscure name. Well, the protagonist of the series is an even more amusing person. Denji is a high school student burdened with his father’s debts that need to be paid off to the yakuza. If that isn’t dangerous enough, the story is set in a world where people’s fears materialize as devils. Denji has a Chainsaw devil dog called Pochita.
A conspiracy by the yakuza results in Denji’s death as he is killed by a devil he was sent to exterminate. By virtue of a contract with Pochita, Denji is brought back to life and merges with Pochita. As a half-devil, Denji is approached by Devil Hunters who ask him to join them to avoid being hunted.
Thus begins a complicated relationship between Denji and this one mysterious Devil Hunter called Makima, a cunning and manipulative woman. Denji’s being driven by his boyish teenage dreams falls straight into a series of unfortunate events.
The anime series is adapted by MAPPA and the anime studio definitely seems to be on a roll with its recent releases. Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan Final Season, and Dorehedoro are fast surpassing all popularity thresholds in anime. MAPPA has taken on the Production of Chainsaw Man and has a dedicated website for the updates for the series at chainsawman.dog
However, recent official news on the release date of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s anime adaptation of Chainsaw Man is from the official channel. In an official tweet, the franchise announced that the anime will be broadcast in 2022. Also, ChainsawMan Part 2 of the manga will be available from early summer 2022 on Shonen Jump. Apart from the dates, we also get to see a short teaser.

Chainsaw Man was one of the most successful manga in recent years. Many are hyped up to see an animated version of the clashes between Denji and the other members of the Public Security devil hunter department, a version that will be produced by the Mappa studio.
What is the plot of Chainsaw Man?
The manga series has been published in 14 volumes consisting of 97 chapters. What follows now is a series of assumptions till we can get the actual official teaser. It is likely that the anime series will consist of 12 or 13 episodes in its first season.
The manga has wrapped up with part one – The Public Safety Saga. This saga will; have 8 main arcs to cover. As of now, the anime may cover either a significant portion of the Public Safety Saga or the entirety of it. The second part of the Manga is going to focus on Denji going to school and has appropriately been titled ‘The Academy Saga’ on Fandoms Wiki.
The anime series will be covering Denji’s encounter with the Yakuza, changing into a half-devil and the series of events that transpire after joining the Devil Hunters. This is definitely marked by a lot of gore and violence, which viewers should note. While Shonen is known for its fight sequences, this degree of gore and violence is not usually that common. The story is lined with intense battles, some overkill characters, and the dwellings and motivations of… a teenage boy. If you know, you know.

It will definitely be fun to watch Power go to school. Imagine the chaos she and Denji will cause in the classroom.
