In a recent live on New Year’s eve, Atsushi Ohkubo (Of Soul Eater and Soul Eater Not) revealed that the Fire Force manga is close to its end. There are only “a few chapters” left to be drawn by the series creator Atsuhi Okuboa. There are two volumes left before curtains are drawn on the popular manga.
The creator had dropped the bombshell news during the live stream event of RPG Dark Souls. He revealed that his current manga series “Fire Force” had a life of “a few chapters” left in it. As of now, he is working on the final two chapters of the story. But there are 2 final volumes to end the manga. Fire Force is an action-adventure dark fantasy series blended with sci-fi. The manga created by Atsushi Ohkubo began serialization in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in September 2015 and currently has 32 tankonbon volumes.
The Fire Force manga entered its final arc in October 2021 which is about to end in the next two volumes. The manga is licensed under Kodansha which also includes the English version of the release. The most recent volume, the 32nd volume was released on 17th December 2021 in Japan. Ohkubo has also stated that the Fire Force manga will be his last work.
The anime adaptation of the series is by David Productions and currently has two existing seasons. The first season of the anime has a rating of 7.7/10 on My Anime List while Season 2 is rated 7.75/10!Â

Fire Force Manga – Final Volume On The Way?
The Fire Force manga is in its Final Arc. The latest chapter released from the manga is Chapter 297 which is titled ‘The Big Bang of Hope’. Ohkubo has stated that he has two chapters left to draw for the manga to end. An approximation given by the creator of Fire Force indicates about two more volumes before the series comes to a close.
The Fire Force manga has become one of the most popular manga titles in recent years. Volume 32 was shipped on December 17, 2021 meaning there is still time for the release of Volume 33. The next volume should be coming within the next two months as is the release schedule.
When Will Fire Force Season 3 Release?
A lot of speculations about the anime adaption of the Fire Force Season 3 have been making the rounds. While there is no definite news of the expected season, fans are hoping for updates in 2022.
Fire Force Season 2 was a Summer 2020 release. The season had 24 episodes which continued from July to December 2020. The anime adaptation for the series is under David Production, also known for creating the anime for Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures.
The anime currently has 48 episodes, with each season having 24 episodes each. Season 2 ended with the Stigma Arc of the manga which corresponded to Chapter 174. This means the next season will begin with chapter 175 of the manga. The new season will begin with Obi’s Rescue Arc.
