What is Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu About?
As isekai titles tend to play out, the protagonist Takuma Sakamoto is transported to the world of his favourite MMORPG title Cross Reverie by two girls Rem and Shera who want to make him their slave. Takuma, being a social isolationist turns out lucky when his character in the game, Diablo The Demon Lord ends up rebounding their magic, turning the two girls into his slaves. Takuma makes use of his player abilities in the game to explore the game world and help the two girls find a way to remove their collars and help them solve the problems they wanted to summon him for.
Season 1 of the anime aired in 2018 and completed its run with 12 episodes. The 2020 release of How Not to Summon A Demon Lord Season 2 aired with 12 episodes ending in June 2021. The anime invests significantly in the gaming component and role-playing on the part of Takuma as he masks his real personality while playing the role of the Demon Lord and overpowers even powerful opponents. Takuma’s insecure and loner self do tend to pop out, contrasting his two personas.

Plot for How Not To Summon A Demon Lord Season 3
How Not to Summon A Demon Lord Season 1 adapted content from the light novel up to Volume 3. Season 2 continued in line with the pace followed before, completing adaptation up to volume 6. Therefore, How Not To Summon A Demon Lord Season 3 will continue for Volume 7 of the light novels. The manga adaptation, however, will take a while before it can catch up with the light novels. With only volume 6 of the light novel being adapted into volume 14 of the manga as of now, the manga readers have a long wait ahead of them.
The second season of the anime contained elements of volume 10 of the light novels which seems like a jump ahead. The isekai genre is often filled with elements of fantasy, like in series such as Goblin Slayer and The Rising of the Shield Hero. Here too, we have a legend at the core and the presence of Dark Elves and their lore. The Demon Lord had been sealed away by God in the legends of the land, and now Takuma must also attempt to eliminate the elements of The Demon Lord’s soul from Rem’s body.
While the survival of the elves is on the line, the army of the Demon Lord is also marching for destruction. How Not to Summon A Demon Lord Season 3 takes the MMORPG element quite seriously, with Diablo needing to level up to protect his people before the Demon Lord takes over.
How Not To Summon A Demon Lord Season 3 Release Date
With the end of HNSDL Season 2 in June 2021, How Not To Summon A Demon Lord Season 3 might take a while before it even gets an announcement.
