Naturally, Dio turns out to be evil and steals the mysterious stone mask of the Joestar family that turns him into a kind of immortal vampire. The generation of Jojos that come after him is all tied together by the Joestar legacy of fighting against Dio or some kind of evil.
The Seasons of Jojos Bizarre adventures in order are Phantom Blood (Jonathan Joestar), Battle Tendency (Joseph Josetar), Stardust Crusaders (Jotaro Kujo), Diamond is Unbreakable (Josuke Higashikata), Golden Wind (Giorno Giovanna), Stone Ocean (Joelyn Kujo), Steel Ball Run (Johnny Joestar) and finally Jojolion (HHigashikata Josuke).
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 8: Jojolion!
Jojo’s Bizzare Adventures Part 8 is set in the same continuity as Steel Ball Run. Both of these titles are set in an alternate setting to its previous 7 installments. Jonathan’s counterpart in Steel Ball Run is named Johnny Joestar and is similarly set in the 1800s. Jojolion, as Araki explains it, is borrowed from the Christian concept of ‘evangelion’.
The story follows Yasuho and a man called Josuke who has lost all memories of his previous life. In a strange twist, the story introduces Yoshikage Kira, the antagonist of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures: Diamond is Unbreakable.
Viz media hold the license for the Jojo series in North America and has aired all of them as they have been released. Even as Jojo’s Bizzare Adventures Part 8 is ending, here’s to hoping we get enough Jojo content in the future!
