When is Rick and Morty Season 5 Finale (Episodes 9 & 10) Release Date, Spoilers and More

The popular Adult Swim animated series celebrated Sunday 20th June with Rick and Morty Season 5 day. Rick and Morty Season 5 Episodes 9 and 10 will mark the end of the current season of the show. The popular adult swim cartoon will be returning after a delay in the middle, leaving a 1-hour finale for the fans in the upcoming week!

Rick and Morty Season 4 was released in 2020 and it feels much better than the 2-year wait between seasons 3 and 4. The finale for season 4 was titled ‘Star Mort Rick Turn of the Jerri’. The series has been renewed for 70 more episodes, meaning that there are at least 5 more seasons on the way. The timeline is, however, a matter of gradual disclosure.

Rick and Morty Season 5 was contracted to air 10 episodes spread over 10 weeks with an episode dropping in every Sunday. However, after Episode 8, Adult Swim took its fans by surprise by lingering the final two episodes. But a wait of few weeks is bearable by the fans in comparison to more than 2-year hiatus between Rick and Morty Seasons 3 and 4.

Why Rick And Morty Season 5 Finale Got Delayed?

The makers have not officially announced any reason behind the delay of 2 episodes from the Rick and Morty Season 5 finale. However, speculations say that the pandemic cast its spell on the timelines. Fans are also wondering that the finale episode titled “Rickmurai Jack” could be the reason behind the delay. It probably needs a different animation style, somewhat motivated by either anime or Genndy Tartakovsky’s Samurai Jack.

With the finale of the Season right around the corner, here’s all that you need to know about Rick and Morty Season 5 Episode 9 and 10!

Rick and Morty Season 5 Finale Trailer

Rick and Morty Season 5 Episode 9 Spoilers Ahead!

Zap2It and All4 have individual descriptions for the upcoming finale.

Rick and Morty Season 5 Episode 9 has been titled “Forgetting Satrick Mortshall” and will have Rick and Morty in a yelling showdown with Morty screaming “Go ahead, replace me!” This is hardly the first time a dramatic Morty has been thrown at us. Episodes 9 and 10 will combine for an explosive end to season 5. The description for the first of the two episodes goes “Two Crows, broh; these guys are mad smart.” Rick spins a wheel to decide Morty’s replacement and decides on two crows. Surprising? Not really.

Episode 10 is titled “Rickmurai Jack”, parodying the popular animated show Samurai Jack. The description for the show states Rick is living his best anime life. The episode is very likely to be a reference to Samurai Jack itself or other anime series.

The accidental leak of the Season’s episode 7 has thankfully not put a damper on things. Here’s to hoping it does not happen again.
