Super Crooks Plot
In a typical heist fashioned tale, the anime dives into the minor crook Johnny Bolt who manages to recruit a team of eight supervillains for a grand heist in Spain. As the source material for the anime is not a manga but an actual comic book series, there are significant differences in how the comic flows versus how the anime has been made.
There are few details about the actual sequencing of the anime but the comics name the protagonist as Johnny Lightning who himself is a supervillain who ends up in prison for five years and returns planning a huge heist after he finds other former supervillains in need of money who also have plans for a heist.
The protagonist in the anime is named Johnny Bolt. It is not yet known whether the last name change of the character is the only change made in the adaptation of his origin story is altered. CBR’s report on the Netflix release confirms that the anime adaptation will act as a prequel to the events of the comics and then overlap with some of the events in it. The plot continues the same way as planning for a grand heist in Spain.
