One of the most anticipated Japanese animated films of the next period, Suzume no Tojimari, is directed by the legendary Makoto Shinkai, who is the same face behind the successful masterpiece “Your Name”. The Suzume no Tojimari movie is set to be released later this year, however, the production house wanted to let the Otakus be in suspense by releasing a new Trailer. The film is produced by CoMix Wave Films and distributed by Toho.
The director, Makoto Shinkai, is a well-known figure in the animated movies space. Best known for his work “Your Name” or as it is called originally, “Kimi No Na Wa“, he has directed several masterpieces to date. His work is appreciated by many. Therefore, there’s no doubt how wonderful Suzume no Tojimari is going to be, and just like you all, as a part of the culture, we are excited too.
“It’s a story where something major happens that one’s own power can’t do anything to affect. By making this film, I want a part of people to think. ‘We’ll somehow manage to get by, won’t we?’” The coronavirus is a large-scale disaster, but over the decades of our lives, we’ll experience many forms of disaster, I think. Many things in society will come to a dramatic end, or be dramatically changed. But even after that, people will continue to find a way to survive.”

What is the Suzume no Tojimari plot?
Suzume, a 17-year-old girl from the Kyushu region of southwestern Japan, is the protagonist of the film. Suzume encounters a young man looking for a “door” at the start of the story. They journey together and discover an old door in the mountains at an abandoned house. Suzume extends out her hand towards the door and is drawn in, as if by something. “Doors of Disaster” start appearing around Japan, triggering a succession of catastrophic tragedies.
The film follows Suzume as she travels over Japan, closing and locking the “Doors of Disaster” one by one in order to stop the calamities, as well as an adventure and battle in the modern world in pursuit of a girl’s maturity and freedom.

This trailer, is longer than the last teaser and features more of the film’s stunning sights. The song featured in the trailer is titled “Suzume,” and it should delight fans of Shinkai’s prior work because it has a similar vibe to the songs in his previous flicks.
Nanoka Hara, the film’s primary heroine’s voice actor, performs “Suzume” (also called Suzume). This is the first time we’ve heard her voice in the teaser for the next film.
When is the Suzume no Tojimari Movie Release Date?
The film is set to release theatrically in Japan on 11th November 2022. It will get an international premiere likely in the Winter Anime 2023 Calendar. Furthermore, a novel adaptation of the story by Shinkai is also expected to be released on August 24, 2022.
