1. Blue Period

One of the most anticipated releases of Fall 2021, Blue Period manga already has a huge fanbase and has a rating of 8.7/10 on My Anime List! The manga series for the same is written and illustrated by Tsubasa Yamaguchi and was serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon magazine that focuses on the seinen demographic.
The story of Yatora Yaguchi is not your average high-school story. Being a part of the seinen genre, the story also feels like it has incorporated slice of life elements quite deeply into the narrative. Yatora is good at everything but still feels dissatisfaction and a loss of passion, which he finds in art. Not only is the journey about falling in love with art and making it his passion and dream in life, but it also brings forth the difficulties in pursuing these dreams.
Yatora struggles with explaining his choices and his decision of perusing art to his parents. He wants to apply to the Tokyo University of Arts for his college education and wants to be able to continue his journey with art that has now drawn him in completely.
The anime will be aired Weekly from October 9th 2021! This anime makes for a perfect addition to the Best Fall 2021 Anime!
2. Komi Can’t Communicate

Komi Can’t Communicate is a slice of life, school-based rom-com. Shouko Komi is what is known as a Bishoujo, or a stunningly beautiful girl. But as it turns out, her elegance and stoic demeanour is rather misunderstood. She is an awkward person and does not know how to communicate, thus the title. In this coming of age story, Komi slowly grows to learn how to make friends and communicate with people around her.
The official website for the anime adaptation has added a promotional video for the upcoming series and has also announced new characters and the ending theme song. Kitri will be performing the ending theme for the anime titled Hikareinochi.

3. Mieruko-Chan Season 3

To add a bit of comedy and horror to the list of fall releases, Mieruko-Chan makes it to the Best Fall 2021 Anime! The anime release is highly anticipated and is already gathering attention on My Anime List!
The story revolves around Miko Yotsuya who is blessed and cursed with the ability to see the supernatural. A typical high school student, Miko’s life starts flipping when she begins to see horrendous ghosts and spirits around all the people near her. But instead of taking on them or exorcising them or doing anything to them, she simply decides to learn to ignore them.
In a blend of horror and comedy, Mieruko Chan is set to release on October 3 2021!
4. Tesla Note

Here’s a new title the manga for which also began this very year! The Best Fall 2021 Anime includes this exciting release!
Studio Gambit will be producing Tesla Note. The official website of the anime has added the teaser for the upcoming release as well as an introduction for the story, characters and more! Both the manga and anime for the title have been added to My Anime List!
The plot for the anime revolves around Botan Negoro, who is trained to be a ninja from a young age and is raised to become the best of spies. Teamed up with another top-grade spy named Kurama, Botan is tasked with recovering the legacy of Nikola Tesla’s legacy, ‘The Shards of Tesla’.
In a superb spy-thriller, the two ninjas will have to out-manoeuvre the other countries that are also trying to get to the shards. The secret mission titled Mission T is meant to save the world!
Tesla Note is set to release in October 2021! Let’s see if it makes it to your list of the Best Fall 2021 Anime!
5. Star Wars Visions
On a rather different side to the world of anime, the Star Wars anime anthology definitely makes it to the list of The Best Fall 2021 Anime!
Lucasfilm is bringing Star Wars to anime fans with the release of Star Wars Visions, an anime anthology set in the world of Star Wars that will be produced by some of the most amazing anime studios. The anthology currently has a trailer out with more expected to be one the way.
There are 9 short releases lined up from 7 different production studios. Be assured that each short will be distinct in itself from a different space fantasy universe. The official synopsis for all the episodes is yet to be known but the title and the cast of the episodes have been revealed! Lucasfilm and Disney wanted to use the anime medium to add a different cultural perspective to the world of Star Wars.
The anime anthology is set to premiere on Disney+ on September 22nd 2021!
6. Takt Op Destiny
Yet another spectacular addition to the Best Fall 2021 Anime, Takt Op. Destiny looks upon a gruesome future.
The crash of a meteor on earth brings hideous monsters called D2 who quickly rid humanity of all that was of their joyous life. In an apocalyptical world, a group of women with the power of music use ‘scores’ to defeat the D2.
America that has been laid to ruins in 2047 looks to this group of music users called the Musicart as they try to defeat the D2 and reach New York.
The anime is set to release on October 6th 2021! This interesting release makes it to our list of Best Fall 2021 Anime without much of an effort.
7. Platinum End
Easily one of the best and most introducing storylines in the upcoming anime season, Platinum End makes for an excellent addition to the Best Fall 2021 Anime list.
The protagonist Mirai Kakehashi has a rough life. After being left to his abusive relatives and finding himself crushed under the weight of his own life, Mirai wants to end it all. However, he is saved by a mysterious Angel called Nasse who reveals herself as a guardian and offers him an opportunity to become a New God.
However, things don’t seem to be getting easy for Mirai anytime soon. Mirai must defeat the other 12 God Candidates in a survival battle that lasts 999 days.
The anime is reminiscent of Mirai Nikki in its narrative, which was also a spectacular survival game to become a God. The unfolding of this story remains to be seen. The platinum end will be releasing on October 8th 2021!
8. Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2
Mushoku Tensei has topped the My Anime List of Fall 2021 releases. Needless to say, this anime makes it to our list of The Best Fall 2021 releases. This is yet another addition to the amazing titles that will be making a return this anime season! Summer 2021 was an all-out isekai festival. This time while we don’t have that many, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is set to fulfil your isekai needs.
The plot for the anime revolves around a 34-year-old hikikomori (shut-in) who is constantly bullied and pushed around. He finally faces eviction after his parents’ death. He resolves to do something heroic but it ends in another awful tragedy – his own death. But instead, he is reborn as Rudeus Greyrat.
The world he is warped into thrives on sorcery and the will of the sword. Rudeus becomes an apprentice of Roxy Migurdia and finally finds a world to belong in. But the challenges and obstacles in his life are far from over.
The second cour of the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation will release on October 3rd, 2021!
9. The Way of the Househusband Season 2
One of the most wholesome and enjoyable contents released as an ONA, here’s why The Way of the Househusband Season 2 should make it to your list of Best Fall 2021 Anime!
The Way of The Househusband or Gokushufudou revolves around Tatsu, a former Yakuza boss who leaves the criminal life to be supportive of his wife, Miku, who is a career woman. The series goes through Tatsu switching from being a formidable and infamous Yakuza member to a regular househusband and dealing with the daily challenges that come with it.
His clashes with his enemies have suddenly disappeared and while people wonder why he has disappeared, he continues to try living a peaceful life in his wife’s apartment. He learns and attempts to master all the skills that he needs to become an efficient homemaker and surprises the people around him.
The series has also received a drama adaptation as well as a recent live-action! The Way of The Househusband is rated 7/10 on My Anime List!
10. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures Part 6: Stone Ocean
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures is returning with Stone Ocean and there is absolutely every reason to add this to your list of Best Fall 2021 Anime to watch.
The plot follows Jolyne Cujoh as a trip going wrong sends her to the depths of hellish prison. She is tangled between trying to prove her innocence, awakening her new powers and meeting new and old enemies of the Joestars. The return of Dio is always inevitable. The Joestars are yet again supposed to face off with Dio’s Evil and if it wasn’t evident enough, her father is Jotaro Kujo, seen before in Stardust Crusaders and Diamond is Unbreakable.
The trailer also has the awakening of Jolyne’s Stand: Stone Free. The action adrenaline elements of Jojo never fail to impress! Jotaro comes to free her from her imprisonment, but there are other sinister powers at play. The curse on the Joestars is still alive.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean is set for a December 2021 Premiere. Netflix will be streaming the anime series but has not yet announced a specific release date. Netflix has instead confirmed that Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean will stream monthly.
11. World Trigger Season 3
World Trigger is back with a much-awaited Season 3! The anime has a big fan following and have finally been rewarded with a long wait for the return of World Trigger Season 3.
Mikado City is suddenly shaken when a door to another world opens. The influx of monsters in the city begins as people scramble for a way to repel them but nothing seems to work. The National Defense Agency called border seemed to have the means to combat the ‘Neighbours’ that entered from the other world. With an apparatus called Triggers that use energy called Trion to replace the regular human body with a battle-body that can take on monsters.
Yuuga, a humanoid neighbour transfers to a school in Midako City. He wants to hide his identity from the Border, now that it has become really popular. He meets Osamu Mikumo, a secret Border trainee who helps him navigate the city.
The anime is set to air on October 10th 2021!
12. Eight Six 86 Season 2
The Best Fall 2021 Anime list deserves 86 to be added to it. One of the most amazing releases in the past year, here’s why 86 is one of the most anticipated releases among The Best Fall 2021 Anime-
86 Eighty Six can be categorized in the mecha/science fiction genre. It is a military drama that revolves around the war between the Republic of San Magnolia and the Giad Empire. With the onslaught of autonomous mechanized units by the Empire over time, the Republic develops its own autonomous war machines. While it seems like a war of machines, humans pilot these units and lead them into war.
The anime from the studio of Sword Art Online and Kaguya-sama: Love is War, delves into complex themes of war and death and are, by no means a light watch. The heavy content of the show makes it an intense yet spectacular watch that is definitely yet to reach its peak.
The Second cour of 86 Eighty Six begins in October 2021! The anime series has garnered attention after its Spring 2021 release and has acquired an 8.1/10 from IMDb and 8.2/10 on My Anime List.
13. Demon Slayer Season 2
If Demon Slayer Season 2 doesn’t make it to your Best Fall 2021 Anime List, you’re definitely missing out!
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba follows the journey of Tanjiro Kamado set in the Taisho era of Japan. In the world of Demon Slayer, a war has broken out between humans and demons. On a bloodied battlefield and with no home to return to, Tanjiro sets out on a mission to avenge his sister, Nezuko, who has been turned into a demon.
Tanjiro dedicates himself to avenging his family and helping his sister to become human again. The trailer reveals the season will deal with the Yoshiwara Red-light district. The Season picks up after the Mugen train incident. The Hashira is yet again important to the plot of the series.
With new suspenseful villains and vicious demons attacking their destination, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Nezuko and Inosuke find it harder to tell a friend from foe. The Sound Hashira Tengen Usui appears on the roof of the district buildings, and from what one can tell, he will be playing an important role to play in the upcoming season.
Demon Slayer Season 2 is yet to get a confirmed release date.
