What is The Daily Life of the Immortal King About?
The Daily Life of the Immortal King is a slice of life, comedy, a fantasy tale about Wang Ling, who achieves a near-immortal status achieving a new realm every year. At 16, he decides to attend high school and live a rather quiet low-key life where he wants to attract a minimal amount of attention. Unfortunately, things don’t quite work out that way.
IN his newly found high-school life, he is presented with one challenge after another and his attempts to keep out of the spotlight backfires often, creating comical and troublesome situations for Wang Ling. True to the high-school genre, Wang Ling gains company that he values and appreciates. Wang Ling also falls in love with Sun Rong and grows to want to protect her.
The adaptation of the novel is going to be a tedious task, as the novel easily exceeds 1800 chapters. A single season covering 12 episodes is unlikely to cover more than one or two arcs after the end of Season 1. The first season saw Wang Ling stumble into dangerous waters after almost trying to create an entirely another world. His relationship with Sun Rong is also set to develop further.
The second season is meant to build more on the consequences of season one and see Wang Ling try to balance his immortality and powers while trying to live the life of a high-schooler.
