Blue Period is an ongoing anime based on the manga written by Tsubasa Yamaguchi and got serialization in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon magazine that focuses more on the seinen demographic. It is ranked amongst the most awaited anime of Fall 2021.

Blue Period Episode 2 Spoilers
The anime focuses on Yatoro Yaguchi who is a second-year high school student. He keeps himself busy by studying and hanging out with his friends. But in reality, does not enjoy either of the activities and secretly envies people who do things differently. That is until he discovers art and his life takes a turn for the better. He becomes fascinated when he sees an artwork done by a member of the art club. He finds himself invested in Art to the point that he wants to do it for a living. The anime shows the viewers the highs and lows of the high school student’s art journey.
Blue Period Episode 1 had ended by showing the conversation between Yatoro and Saeki- Sensei and Yatoro deciding to aim for Tokyo University of Arts as he can’t afford private Universities. Blue Period Episode 2 begins with Yatoro joining art school which surprises most of the teachers as he has good grades. Saeki- Sensei then gives all the members of the club assignments to finish within the month.
She comes off pretty harsh towards other drawings but was soft towards Yatoro. He begins to think that his drawings aren’t good enough for constructive criticism. Yatoro being humble is seen throughout the anime. The episode probably shows a conversation of Yatoro convincing his mother for him to join the art club. The episode is likely to end with us witnessing Maru Mori’s graduation.
