The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat is an ongoing Fall 2021 anime release that satisfies the isekai needs for the anime season along with Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation Season 2. The series is based on the light novel series by Rui Tsukio that began serialization in July 2018 on Shosetsuka ni Naro.
The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat is translated as Sekai Saiko no Ansatsusha, Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei suru. The light novel is bundled into six tankonbon volumes while the manga adaptation has two tankonbon volumes that have been in circulation since 2019.
The anime was first announced in early 2021. The anime is currently rated 7.67/10 on My Anime List while the light novels are rated 7.22/10.

This isekai fantasy begins with the retirement contemplations of the world’s finest assassin. As an old man, he takes a flight that ends in his demise and not even he can stop this from happening. In what unfolds to be a conspiracy of his former employers, his life spent as an assassin comes to an end.
As isekai fantasies tend to roll, after his death, a goddess expresses her wish to have him reincarnate into a land of swords, magic and fantastical creatures. Reborn in this new world as Lugh Tuatha De, he set quested with preventing the destruction of the world at the hands of a certain Hero. With a second chance, Lugh swears to live his life free of the inhibitions of his past and as a real person.
The opening theme ‘Dark Seeks Light’ is performed by Yui Ninomiya and the ending theme ‘A Promise’ is performed by Aira Yuki.
