Your Best Fall 2022 Anime lineup is here! Things are warming up and I’m not kidding this time. I have a hard time remembering an anime season that is going to be as amazing as the upcoming Fall 2022 anime release dates lineup. The Fall 2022 anime calendar is packed with a lot of mercury-raising and returning titles.
According to experts, this is something that has happened only 40 times in the last 10 years. The last one that we remember is when the Winter 2021 anime lineup was packed with 8 notable sequels including JUJUTSU KAISEN (2nd cour), Mushoku Tensei (first cour), Reincarnated as a slime season 2 (first cour), Attack on Titan final season (part 1). For information, the upcoming Fall 2022 anime has 5 notable sequels.
They include Mob Psycho 100 Season 3, Spy X Family Part 2, TYBW Bleach, My Hero Academia Season 6, Golden Kamuy Season 4, Fumetsu no Anata e Season 2, and Mairimashita! Iruma-kun Season 3 to name a few.
The new shows include Chainsawman, Eminence in Shadow, Shinobi no Ittoki, and Do it yourself.
The Best Fall 2022 anime will begin with an ensemble this October with many returning titles and new releases that are highly anticipated. The season will cover the months of October 2022 until the end of December and/or the beginning of January. The mix includes suggestions from a wide range of genres to cater to all your anime needs! With the amount of anime that we have watched and loved over the years, the bar for entertainment and quality gets a lot higher every calendar year.
Our list includes buzzing on Reddit, forum debates, Fall 2022 anime Crunchyroll and updates on Twitter and My Anime List! All of the official trailers for these anime have been released and My Anime List has already added them to their database. Without further ado, here are the Most Anticipated Fall 2022 anime that you cannot give miss this time.

My Hero Academia Season 6 should take off from where the last episode of Boku No Hero Academica Season 5 left. The Paranormal Liberation Army’s Base is greeted with an attack from the heroes but the plan backfires tremendously. Tomura Shigaraki becomes the nightmare everyone fears he would become. With so much on the line, the outcome of this all-out war will not be easy to deal with.

Season: 1 | Episodes: 12 (Not confirmed)
Release Date: Saturday, 8th October 2022
Platform: TV Tokyo, MBS, AT-X, BS11, Crunchyroll, Disney+
There are quite a few well-known soccer anime that have come before this. For lovers of the genre and the sport, Captain Tsubasa and Inazuma Eleven are also great places to start! So what sets Blue Lock apart? Blue Lock quite doesn’t do the ‘Power of Friendship’ trope which is very common in anime. The series also does not do superpower sports like Kuroko no Basuke. While these anime have made a mark on the audience, Blue Lock takes a big detour.
The characters in the show don’t have any superpowers that penetrate their sport and also move from the team spirit aspect of, well, team sports. The series revels in competition, egoism, and selfishness in the players and presents them as real competitors rather than creating a benevolent version of them.
Blue Lock is an absolutely stunning narrative, trying to find the egoistical striker who can bring Japan glory. The series has also been recommended by Isayama Hajime, the creator of Attack on Titan. Yusuke Nomura worked as Isayama’s assistant!
Tetsukai Watanabe will be directing the anime, Shunsuke Ishikawa is the assistant director, Taku Kishimoto will be supervising the scripts, Yukata Uemura is the concept advisor, and Kenji Tanabe and Kento Toya and Masaru Shindo are chief animators and in charge of character design. Jun Murayama will be in charge of the music!
Blue Lock is manga series created by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yusuke Nomura and is serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. The manga began in 2018 and currently has 14 tankonbon volumes. Kodansha Comics holds the license for the English Version of the comics. Blue Lock was also the recipient of Kodansha’s Manga Award in the Shonen category in 2021. The manga has a spectacular rating of 8.4/10 on My Anime List!
8. Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun Season 3 (English)
Season: 3 | Episodes: 12 (Not confirmed)
Release Date: Saturday, 8th October 2022
Platform: TV Tokyo, MBS, AT-X, BS11, Crunchyroll, Disney+
Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun is probably one of the most underrated anime that went under everyone’s radar when it initially came out in October 2019. The anime managed to attract a lot of popularity with its successive season in 2021, making it one of the most enjoyable anime of Summer 2021.
The plot of the anime centres on the life of a 14-year old human boy who is sold by his parents to the Great Demon Sullivan. Iruma is brought into the Demon World, but much surprisingly, he manages to enjoy his time there. With the ending of season 2, Iruma-kun has made many friends in the demonic realm through his chaotic adventures. The setting of the anime along with its visuals, and especially the amazing humor aimed at all age groups has gained a lot of appreciation from the fans. The confirmation of Iruma-kun Season 3 anime only goes in favor to show how successful the anime has been.
As of March 2022, the Iruma-kun manga written by Osamu Nishi has 230 chapters published in Japan and available online. They have been compiled in 25 tankonbon volumes published in Japan. According to sources of Anime Geek, Iruma-kun season 2 had adapted up to Chapter 93- Volume 11. We can definitely assume that there is still plenty of source material from the original manga that can be adapted for future Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-Kun Season 4.
We cannot doubt renewal for another season keeping in mind that Welcome to Demon School anime has received a decent rating of 7.7/10 on IMDb and 8.09/10 on MyAnimeList.
9. Chainsaw Man (English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Russian)
Season: 1 | Episodes: 12 (Not confirmed)
Release Date: Tuesday, 11th October 2022
Platform: TV Tokyo, MBS, AT-X, BS11, Crunchyroll, Disney+
The theme of the epic manga series is also somewhat inspired by Jujutsu Kaisen as mentioned by the author of Chainsaw Man. Interestingly, MAPPA has taken up the adaptation of the anime, which also released the humungous title Jujutsu Kaisen in 2020. Chainsaw man is yet to release even a trailer but already has a following of 100,000+ on My Anime List. Clearly, the manga’s fame is not to be underestimated.
The manga series by Tatsuki Fujimoto was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from December 2018 to December 2020. After its original run, a second part of the manga was announced which will continue in the Shonen Jump+ online publication. Make sure to check it out too!
The manga series has been published in 14 volumes consisting of 97 chapters. What follows now is a series of assumptions till we can get the actual official teaser. It is likely that the anime series will consist of 12 or 13 episodes in its first season.
The manga has wrapped up with part one – The Public Safety Saga. This saga will; have 8 main arcs to cover. As of now, the anime may cover either a significant portion of the Public Safety Saga or the entirety of it. The second part of the Manga is going to focus on Denji going to school and has appropriately been titled ‘The Academy Saga’ on Fandoms Wiki.
The anime series will be covering Denji’s encounter with the Yakuza, changing into a half-devil and the series of events that transpire after joining the Devil Hunters. This is definitely marked by a lot of gore and violence, which viewers should note. While Shonen is known for its fight sequences, this degree of gore and violence is not usually that common. The story is lined with intense battles, some overkill characters, and the dwellings and motivations of… a teenage boy. If you know, you know
10. To Your Eternity Season 2 (English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German)
Season: 2 | Episodes: 12 (Not confirmed)
Release Date: Sunday, 23rd October 2022
Platform: TV Tokyo, MBS, AT-X, BS11, Crunchyroll
To Your Eternity Season 1 ended with the Janada Island Arc with Fushi and Pioran accidentally boarding the ship to the island of prisoners. Season 1 ended with episode 20 and the passing of Pioran which deeply saddens Fushi. Pioran asks the Beholder if she would be reborn as someone useful to Fushi. Fushi grieves her passing and several decades later, as a middle-aged man, seems a bit unhinged as he laughs after killing a Nokker.
To Your Eternity Season 2 is expected to pick up where Season 1 left. The first Season covered the manga till chapter 54. Season 2 is set up perfectly to begin after the time-skip. Fushi seems lost in his journey that began years ago. The new season will begin with the Guardians Arc where he meets old friends and companions he has not met in years.
The anime series To Your Eternity or Fumetsu no Anata e is an adaptation of the popular manga series by Yoshitoki Ōima. The manga was originally serialized in the Weekly Shonen Magazine and has been published since November 2016. The manga’s first arc concluded in December 2019, and the second arc launched in January 2020.
With the subbed series already streaming, the English dubbed version has also begun its run. The series has excellent reviews with 9.1/10 on IMDb, a score of 8.55 on My Anime List, and added critical acclaim since its release in Spring 2021.
This sums up the most anticpated Fall 2022 anime lineup that I am going to watch. Apart from the above titles there are few more that cannot be missed out.
There will be a Berserk- Golden age Arc Memorial Edition but there is no clarity which of the 2 versions broadcasted in Japan will stream on Crunchyroll.
We also know that there are 3 more hot anime series that have not confirmed the dates – Urusei Yatsura reboot, Golden Kamuy season 4, and Bleach TYBW.
