A lot of anime facts are hoping for studios like MAPPA or Studio Wit or Madhouse to work on the animation. Given MAPPA’s amazing record with the action genre in anime, releases like Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan Final Season, Dorohedoro and the upcoming Chainsaw Man anime, and Hell’s Paradise Jigokuraku, MAPPA makes a very good case. But will the combo of Solo Leveling Anime and MAPPA actually work?
The only hiccup here is that Solo Leveling is a South-Korean Manhwa that addresses a lot of things that have sentiments that are not favourable towards Japan. This makes it slightly unlikely that Solo Leveling will be picked up by a Japanese studio regardless of its popularity.

Well, speculations are laid to rest now. Solo Leveling anime is coming to Crunchyroll in 2023 with Studio A1-Pictures in charge of animation.
When Will Solo Leveling Anime Release?

The announcement came during Anime Expo 2022, where a teaser trailer for Solo Leveling and a key visual was revealed.

A-1 Pictures of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and SAO will be the animation studio in charge. One of the best anime composers has been shortlisted- Hiroyuki Sawano of Shingeki no Kyojin, Nanatsu no Taizai and 86 fame. The character design will be done by Tomoko Sudo of Alice in Borderland and Noboru Kimura will serve as a screenwriter. Shunsuke Nakashige of Mother of the Goddess’ Dormitory will be the director of Solo Leveling.

The production details along with the cast and trailers will be revealed following the official announcement. This anime adaptation may as well become one of the best releases in the last few years, competing with titles like Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, and more new-gen titles.
